Bar Harbor does not disappoint! As has been the case so far, we arrive still a bit before season, so it's very quiet and we're able to stay at the Bar Harbor Inn with a great deal! Celeste cries when she sees the view from our room!
We are immediately welcomed by one of the many large gulls who share our vista. "Buddy", as he's nicknamed by Celeste, joins us for happy hour on our balcony as we soak in the amazing scenery. It is exactly what the Maine coastline has promised!
We don't venture far this first evening as our package includes dinner at the Reading Room at our resort. The views continue here and we settle into the ultimate Maine adventure.
After a leisurely dinner, we ready ourselves for Acadia - one of the highlights on our agenda. A beautiful day is in the forecast for morning and we plan to take full advantage.
We can't wait!
