Cape Ann Beauty
After an extremely restful night, we take advantage of the beautiful pool area at our little gem of a place. A great morning swim and hot tub soak sets the tone for a great day ahead!
Rockport hosts a special place at Halibut Point State Park, which we find with relative ease this morning on our journey forward. A Quarry Walking tour guides us through some breathtaking vistas overlooking the Atlantic, with the Isle of Shoals as a distant backdrop. We hike in and around the quarry, taking a few side trails whenever presented, before heading down to the ocean edge - a spectacular spot!
This northern cape area of Massachusetts is just gorgeous. We continue to be amazed at the beauty in this state.
We linger a good while here, exploring and reflecting. A spot is found for our Mass sunflower planting and we each take a moment.
As we exit one of our favorite spots, we savor the drive through all of the Cape Ann area - Beverly, Gloucester, Essex and Manchester - before heading north up the coast into New Hampshire. This cape proves every bit as magical as it's more famous cousin. We have marked Massachusetts as a state to definitely consider as a future home!
