Two young 50-something females. One big adventure exploring the Americas. Have liquidated everything they own and packed a Saturn Vue with bare necessities to set out on this journey. Planting seeds at each juncture symbolizing their new growth. With an open mind and heart, ready to get a true view of this world.

Crater

One must see on our journey has always been Crater Lake National Park and though it's a good detour from continuing our Oregon coast route, it is decidedly necessary. Oh, and are we right to take the extra time.

This place is nothing short of spectacular. The drive around the rim is just over a 30-mile drive and with highlighted overlooks, the guide suggests allowing several hours. We take that and more.

This is one of those places where words are not sufficient. Fortunately, we have some gorgeous photographs to give a pretty good representation.

I'm sure this just became a must for all of you, as well! Oregon just can't seem to get it wrong...
