Let's Hike
Ecola State Park is a quick and gorgeous drive from the Haystacks and provides us with the perfect opportunity for a picnic with amazing views of this beautiful landmark we've just visited. Ample trails are available and we set out after our lunch on one of the many paths offering some of the most scenic viewpoints we've encountered.
Winding through the forested trail, this particular 2 mile hike takes us up to a summit showcasing the rocky shores of Indian Beach and back down leading out to this little surfer's haven. The hike provides a good workout and the vistas well worth the effort. It's a beautiful day, even with the cloudy skies, and we enjoy our trek thoroughly.
